Growing labor support highlights Moss’s tested record fighting for working families in Michigan
Oakland County, MI – Today, the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights announced their endorsement of Sen. Jeremy Moss in his campaign for Michigan’s 11th Congressional District. This marks his second major labor endorsement and demonstrates his base of support with Michigan’s working families.
“I’m the son and grandson of union workers right here in Michigan, where organized labor built America’s middle class. In the State Senate, I’ve fought for fair wages and safe working conditions alongside Michigan’s carpenters and millwrights. I’m so honored they are joining our campaign for Congress,” Moss said. “We are taking this next fight to Washington to protect skilled trade jobs, stand up to federal attacks on labor rights, and restore the dignity every worker deserves.”
As President Pro Tem of the Michigan Senate, Moss was instrumental in passing legislation to repeal right-to-work, restore prevailing wage, and expand jobsite protections for Michigan workers.
“We are proud to stand with Jeremy Moss as he runs to represent Michigan’s 11th District in Congress for one simple reason: he’s had the backs of our members and every working person in the state,” said Tom Lutz, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights. “Jeremy is a principled and common-sense public servant who has long fought for working families, and I know that’s exactly what he’ll continue to do in Washington.”
Moss previously announced the endorsement from LiUNA Local 1076 along with 60 elected officials in the district, continuing to build the coalition needed to represent Oakland County in Congress.
